CARBONERAS BEACHES

Enjoy the sun and its beaches, spread over its 17 kilometers of coastline.

Los Muertos beach

An enormous, perfectly straight beach that spans over a kilometer in length and boasts the bluest and clearest water in the area.

This beautiful beach consistently ranks in nearly every list of the best beaches in Europe.

  • Description

Among its virtues, the intense blue water, very pleasant sand, and its isolation stand out, being far from any town and halfway between Agua Amarga and Carboneras. The shore has a significant slope, and it quickly becomes deep, making it not recommended for children to play in the water, as within a few meters from the shore, one cannot touch the bottom. This abrupt entry into the water is a consequence of strong waves breaking on the beach and dragging the sandy bottom. For this reason, we caution that swimming on this beach is dangerous during strong east winds. If the waves break strongly, the beach becomes cut off, and it is difficult to exit the water.

Except on days with strong winds, it is a splendid beach for swimming. Although it is a fairly large beach, 800 meters in length, it has become extraordinarily famous and, for this reason, is somewhat crowded in the summer.
