Carboneras Market
The Thursday Market, (except on holidays, which are held the day before). From 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It takes place in the town, between its streets. You can find everything in its stalls, such as abundant seasonal fruits, vegetables of all kinds, clothing, footwear, music, ornamental plants, decoration and home furnishings, hardware, nuts and sweets, charcuterie, leather goods, toy shops, handicrafts, natural flowers, etc.…
In the middle of June, the big festivities of Carboneras take place.
Fiestas de San Antonio de Padua.
They include a Battle of Moors and Christians, evoking the Berber attacks on these coasts. The Moors and Christians festivities of our town of Carboneras will be celebrated in honor of San Antonio Abad, patron saint of Carboneras.


Tourist Route
OLD TOWN
The Old Town of Carboneras originated with the construction of the Castillo de San Andrés in the 16th century. It is made up of beautiful white houses, most of which are located a few meters from the port and offer wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea.
TOWN HALL, CASA DE LOS FUENTES
The Town Hall of Carboneras is housed in a 19th-century manor house, known as Casa de los Fuentes, which has recently been restored. It is located a few meters from the Castillo de San Andrés.
SAN ANDRÉS CASTLE
The San Andrés castle, is the most important monument in the town of Carboneras and a symbol of the population.
ANDALUSIAN PATIO
The Andalusian Patio is a recreational park located in the surroundings of the Castillo de San Andrés, on the shores of the Paseo Marítimo. It is known for its beautiful gardens and for a beautiful 19th-century manor house that is located inside, the Casa de las Tejas. It is an ideal place to walk and relax on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
SAN ANDRÉS ISLAND
A gem for scuba divers, it is located opposite the urban center of Carboneras. It has great ecological value, with rich and diverse seabed and a rich marine flora and fauna, home to numerous waterfowl. It has been declared a Natural Monument of Andalusia.

TOWER OR LIGHTNING STATION
There is information about this tower or station from 1497, which suggests that it may have already been standing during the Nasrid period; later, it was restored for use in coastal defense.
LABYRINTH HOUSE
The Labyrinth House is located in front of Las Martinicas Beach. It was built by André Bloc in 1964.
MESA ROLDÁN CASTLE
The Mesa Roldán Castle was built in the 18th century along with other watchtowers for the defense of the area. Currently, only one of its towers, known as the Tower of La Mesa Roldán, located between Punta de los Muertos and Punta de Media Naranja, is preserved within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. In its surroundings, the Mesa Roldán Lighthouse deserves special mention.
MESA ROLDÁN LIGHTHOUSE
The Mesa Roldán Lighthouse is located on a flat-topped volcanic hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated 222 meters above sea level. It serves as the gateway to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. More information
Outdoor Activities
There are numerous outdoor activities to enjoy in Carboneras, such as walks and boat rentals (boat trips and routes), kayaking excursions, jet skiing, buggie and 4x4 excursions, pedal boats, scuba diving (with numerous schools available), exploring the Wild West (Fort Bravo Texas Hollywood), visiting the caves of Sorbas, buying replicas of marine amphorae (from Carboneras), and horseback riding. Horseback Riding Routes
We collaborate with an equestrian center that offers horseback riding routes in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Sierra de los Filabres, Sierra Cabrera, and the Carboneras river area and its surroundings.
You will enjoy an unforgettable day exploring the marvelous landscapes that the natural park offers on horseback. Horses, with their physical endurance and intelligence, have become one of the most cherished companions for exploring these mountain ranges.
We will contemplate nature in its purest state, going beyond simple observation. With the guidance of an expert, we can discover the richness of the fauna and flora of the mountains, along with their history and culture.
